Herb Society of America, South Texas Unit, Madalene Hill Education Fund
The South Texas Unit of the Herb Society of America is pleased to announce that it will be awarding at least one $1000 Herb Society of America, South Texas Unit, Madalene Hill Scholarship to a deserving student each summer.
The scholarship is awarded to students who are studying agribusiness, agricultural sciences, or horticulture; or ecology or environmental science with a focus on botany. Students majoring in biochemistry, cellular biology, genetics, or molecular biology will be considered if their academic interests are plant-related. Consideration will also be given to graduate students enrolled in an approved graduate program and engaged in plant-related research. The student must be either a permanent resident of Texas attending an accredited community-college, four-year college or university, or a student attending an accredited community-college, four-year college or university in Texas. The student must have completed one full year of college.
The deadline for application is May 1.
